The Black Food Festival was born out of curiosity for international cuisines and the experimental nature of culinary minds across the globe. To pay homage to those who prefer to take the road less traveled: the risk takers, the innovators, the trailblazers, there will be a panel of gastronomy professionals on the look out for the most creative and finest products. Black food isn’t just artificially colored, regular food. Some of the most sought after ingredients are black: from the finest coffee, decadent dark chocolate, luscious black berries, to traditional balsamic vinegar that has been made for centuries using traditional methods.

The first festival debuted in Budapest (November 2018), and received great success and the Berlin, Tel Aviv, Helsinki, New York, Istanbul events followed. The Black Food Festival organising team is welcoming any partners, sponsors and exhibitors fitting to the black concept.

Mbsfaam partnered with BFF in their upcoming Nairobi Black Food Festival in Oct 20th, at J’s Fresh bar and Kitchen – 11-9pm and Kigalifaam for the Kigali Black Food Festival on Oct 26th, at Kigali Serena Hotel – 3-9pm, to bring in artisans who share in this spirit.
